| Buying our Beef We generally sell our beef in 25 pound freezer packages. We find that this size package fits most of our customers' needs and keeps the ordering process simple. Generally, each 25 pound package contains approximately one third in steaks (a variety of cuts all suitable for grilling), one third in roasts and stew beef (a variety of cuts of roast and stew beef) and one third in ground beef. Our packages may vary a bit with the time of year: Packages processed in the spring and summer months may contain more cuts suitable to warm weather cooking like grilling and packages processed in the fall and winter may contain more cuts suitable to cold weather cooking, such as roasts etc.. Please inquire when you order so that we can let you know about availability and the items that we currently have in stock. We are also happy to sell our beef in other quantities: Give us a ring if you'd like to pick up a couple steaks for a special occasion or if you'd like to make your purchase by the quarter, half or whole animal. The 25 pound package is our best seller, but we can happily accommodate most orders, based upon our availability, so just ask! A couple things to consider before you buy: • How much freezer space do I have? (The contents of a 25 pound box will fit into the average refrigerator freezer with room for some of the other items you normally stock in your freezer.) • How much beef will I consume in a six month period? (You generally want to use up any beef that you put in your freezer within six months for best quality and taste) Pickup and Delivery Options: Your orders will be available for pick up on the farm. We always like to see our customers here at the farm, and it gives them a chance to see what we do here. HOURS: By Appointment or By Chance We are here most of the time, but best to call before you head over! Local delivery can also be arranged for an added fee and your convenience. |
