Why Natural Beef?

To be considered and sold as “Natural”, beef must meet the following criteria:
It should come from grass and grain fed, pasture raised animals.  It should
contain no artificial colors or flavors, no chemical preservatives or synthetic
ingredients.  Most importantly it should also be free of fed antibiotics, growth
hormones and implants.  All of these criteria contribute to a better tasting,
healthier food choice.

•        Our cattle are free to graze the pastures during the warm season months
and are fed locally harvested hay throughout the cold season.

•        Grain feed and finishing allows our beef to develop its desirable flavor
and marbling.

•        Our Natural Beef is never fed waste products, such as leftover bread
and bakery goods, like many feed lot raised animals.

•        Free grazing animals are often less stressed than feedlot raised animals.
Low stress and docility in animals can produce benefits to a beef product’s
color, marbling, tenderness and flavor.
